HAIR LOSS
Hair PRF
Is your hair getting thinner? Discover hair PRF: platelet-rich fibrin obtained from your own blood, which may help promote hair growth and improve hair density.

Hair PRF
CARE FOR YOUR HAIR FROM THE ROOTS

At LHR, we look for up-to-date treatments that help us address hair loss in a personalised way. Hair PRF is one option: it uses a platelet-rich fibrin preparation obtained from your own blood and applied to the scalp.
Platelets release growth factors that may support follicle activity. For this reason, PRF has been studied as a way to support hair growth, particularly in people with androgenetic alopecia. Whether it is suitable depends on the cause of hair loss and an individual assessment.
- Helps reduce hair loss;
- Improves hair density;
- Promotes hair growth;
- Supports scalp health.
SPECIALIST HAIR ASSESSMENT
Before recommending PRF, we assess your hair and scalp to understand the cause of hair loss and determine whether this treatment is right for you.
TREATMENT TAILORED TO YOUR CASE
Your treatment plan takes your needs and the progression of your hair loss into account. This way, you know what to expect from PRF before you begin.
MEDICAL FOLLOW-UP
We monitor your response to treatment over time and reassess the plan whenever necessary, according to how your hair is progressing.
HAIR PRF: WHEN CAN YOU EXPECT RESULTS?
PRF works throughout the hair growth cycle, so changes happen gradually. Published studies offer some guidance, but the number of sessions and response to treatment depend on an individual assessment.

Hair PRF: the process
Hair PRF begins with an assessment to understand the cause of your hair loss and determine whether the treatment is right for you. A series of sessions is then planned to suit your case. Throughout the process, our team monitors your hair’s progress and assesses your response to treatment. Read on to find out what happens at each of the four stages: diagnosis, preparation, treatment and follow-up.

Diagnosis
During your consultation, we assess your medical history, hair and scalp to understand your hair loss and determine whether PRF is suitable for you. Where appropriate, we may complement this assessment with tests and TrichoTest, a genetic test available at LHR that helps personalise treatment options.
We then answer your questions and define a plan tailored to your case.
